LipoTherme and LipoControl
LipoTherme and LipoControl are the latest offerings from Osyris Medical. These are innovative devices that help the surgeons in performing patient-friendly liposuction procedure.
What is LipoTherme?
LipoTherme is a laser-assisted lipolysis unit, which uses the 980 nm laser wavelength travelling through an intuitively designed micro-cannula that contains special laser to achieve perfection in removing all kinds of stubborn fat from the affected portion of the body. LipoTherme is also beneficial in tightening the skin by using its thermal effect, which causes the skin to contract. Another benefit of LipoTherme can be seen in patients suffering from varicose veins and blue leg veins. The device can remove the veins in such patients with minimum pain and discomfort.
LipoTherme’s sophistication leads to very small incision, less scarring, smooth and consistent contouring, and it affords tremendous control to the physician who can target smallest and most stubborn fat hidden in difficult places. This unique device works at up to 25 watts of power, and also uses a dual cooling system, which is helpful in preventing skin burns. Another great feature of LipoTherme is a diode laser aiming beam, which makes the task of the physician much simpler.
What is LipoControl?
LipoControl is one step ahead of LipoTherme in providing assistance to the physician during the liposuction procedure. It features a tracking device, which monitors the hand-piece positioning throughout the procedure, and lets the physician know the amount of energy being supplied to the area under treatment. LipoControl lets the physician see in real time what they are working upon and how much they’ve achieved thus far.
It also uses the 980 nm laser wavelength, but the most striking aspect of LipoControl is the on-screen real time visualization of the area under treatment. Even the cannula features an ability to automatically increase or decrease its power output based on the hand movements of the physician. When the cannula is not in motion, its heated tip also shuts off automatically and starts again when the cannula is brought into motion.
LipoControl has an underlying theme of “prevention of damage by empowering the physician”. The physician is given powerful tools to efficiently perform the liposuction procedure and remove unwanted fat from the body with bare minimum damage to the patient’s body.
